Only 89 km's to go!
It was a steep climb this morning, out of the Mino Valley that the city of Ourense is in. The streets were very busy. We crossed an old Roman bridge that was over 2000 years old to leave the city, and walked steadily uphill thru many suburbs to leave the city. Once out of the city, the country trails were very lush and green as is typical here in Galacia. Unbelievably there is no rain and the sky is blue. We arrived to a very nice albergue here in the town of Cea, were there were only 4 of us. I could hardly believe it when I went in and discovered a fellow perigrino named Melba, who I last seen in Cáceres hundreds of kilometres ago. Melba sells real estate in Houston Texas. We all went to the local mercado, and bought enough food to cook in the albergue. There was even a great dessert. Anyway we are into just double digits now. Santiago is getting closer. Here are some of today's pics. Terry P.S. Chantal is passed out!
